The Right Bug Eating the Right Plant!

It's good when a bug shows up in your yard to eat the plants you put in especially for it! In this case, a Monarch caterpillar. I've seen plenty of the butterfly stage, but had yet to find a caterpillar until today. Here it is on some Butterfly Weed which is now forming seed pods in these parts.

woo hoo! Awesome! We did a quick check of some local milkweek plants for monarch eggs but maybe it's not the right season?
