Pricking Out and Potting On

I potted on all the tomatoes today and took some pictures before lowering the lights and turning the fan back on.

Aww, isn't it kind of sad to see the poor little culls? I only prick out the best, or the number I need. These culls will go to the compost bin.

A view of potted on seedlings from the left hand corner of the table.

From the right hand corner of the table. Yes, there are more than I need! I get carried away with planting.

This was a prolific and favorite strawberry shaped tomato variety in the garden last year.

Another close up of a happily potted on tomato seedling.

Soon it will be time for the eggplants to move on to individual pots.

Then, the peppers. Some of them are still sprouting, so they are still enjoying a cover for extra humidity.

Do you think the baby Romaine is intimidated by me when I say 'yum, yum, yum' at it?!

I am getting so crazed for fresh greens that it's lucky it hasn't already become a salad!

Oh I feel so sorry for the seedlings that didn't make it. I don't think there is anything wrong with obsessive potting up, but I am concerned for the Romaine!!!

Your seeds look amazing!

I hope to start my milk jug seeds in the next day or two. How are yours doing? Did you do any flowers this year?

You are going to have quite the vegie patch this year! Feeling a little jealous until I remember how much work it is to harvest it all 8-)
